Project Details

The Board approved funding for the Tennis Area Shade Project during their December 5 Regular Session Board Meeting.

This project aimed to refurbish the picnic area adjacent to the tennis courts. Two new shade structure pavilions were added. At the end of one pavilion, a new built-in barbecue was added to enhance social gatherings, alongside six new picnic tables underneath the pavilion. The second structure replaced the aging one, offering an extended covering and additional viewing bleachers for watching tennis matches and tournaments. A new ADA ramp was also added to ensure access for all community members.

This project funding in the amount of $295,862 plus an 8% contingency from the CIP fund was approved by the Board at their December 5, 2023 Regular Session Board Meeting (view Board Action Item).

    Work continues to move along nicely in the new tennis shade area! Both shade structures are assembled, and the concrete has been poured. Final touches will be happening in the next couple of weeks before opening.

    For your safety, we kindly ask that you avoid the construction site. While the courts remain accessible, please be aware that lights on courts 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be temporarily unavailable during certain phases of the project. With an anticipated completion this summer, this project represents a significant improvement on one of the last available pieces of our beautiful lakefront property.

Additionally, a new ADA ramp will ensure accessibility for all members of our community. This project is slated to be completed by early summer.

    Last week, work began on the Tennis Area Shade Project, aimed at refurbishing the picnic area next to the tennis courts. The project includes adding two new shade structure pavilions. One pavilion will feature a built-in barbecue and six picnic tables, while the other will replace the aging structure, offering extended coverage and additional viewing bleachers for tennis matches. Additionally, a new ADA ramp will ensure accessibility for all community members. Work is scheduled to begin towards the end of next week. Although there are no current plans to close the tennis courts during construction, residents are advised to adhere to any posted signage and/or fencing for safety reasons.
