PAT KEMBALL
Golf Course Manager
Pat Kemball is a seasoned contractor with decades of experience in the golf industry. As Golf Course Manager, Pat oversees a hand-selected staff of 15 employees trained to deliver excellence to golfers.
Pat joined the Canyon Lake POA in 2010. Under his management, the Golf Shop was remodeled and its selection of merchandise updated to appeal to both golfers and other residents alike. With the addition of new practice balls, a new ball dispenser, a pitching area, and seating areas for golfers and spectators — as well as a new fleet of golf carts for rental — Pat has also successfully made the practice facility more inviting for both long-time, loyal golfers and new prospective ones. He introduced the online tee time system, facilitating easy bookings for a smoother golf experience.
Pat has played a pivotal role in numerous significant golf course renovations, including the Golf Course Drought Tolerant Project in 2015, the Golf Course Irrigation Upgrade in 2021, and the driving range remodel under the solar panels that were installed in 2023. Over the years, his contributions have been essential in creating a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at increasing annual golf memberships. Moreover, Pat has been an integral part of the implementation of an online tee time system, enhancing the booking process and ensuring a seamless golfing experience.
Pat’s extensive golf experience began with his discovery of golf at a young age. After achieving moderate success on the Canadian Tour, Pat became head pro at Carman Golf and Country Club in Manitoba, Canada. He later continued his leadership role as head pro at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Winnipeg, Canada. In 2000, Pat was hired at the Practice Golf Center in Menifee, California. The skills he acquired there paved the way for Pat to assume the Director of Golf position at the SCGA Golf Course (now known as The Golf Club at Rancho California) in Murrieta in 2003. While there, he implemented a $1.2 million capital improvement and land development project.
At the Canyon Lake Country Club, Pat and his staff are responsible for providing instruction programs and head pro and assistant pro services, signing out golf cart rentals, overseeing driving range operations and course marshaling, and managing pro shop operations, among other vital duties.
In addition to the golf course's day-to-day operations, Pat supports a variety of golf clinics and tournaments throughout the year and assists member golf clubs and their events. Managing the complicated logistics of scheduling such a busy roster of golf activities is no small task, but Pat does so with exceptional skill.
