North Ski Dock Replacement

Project Overview

Construction to replace the docks at the North Ski area is scheduled to begin the week of January 27, 2025. This improvement project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.

During the construction period, access to the North Ski area will be maintained; however the docks will be temporarily out of service. Residents are advised to plan their visits accordingly and be aware of the ongoing construction work.

The replacement is necessitated by the significant wear and tear on the existing wooden docks, which were originally installed in the 1990s. Over time, these docks have suffered from cracked frames, joint separations, and worn decking. The new docks will provide improved durability and usability for the community.

Project Funding & Approval

On November 5, 2024 the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors approved $154,000 plus a 5% contingency from the Repair and Replacement Fund to replace three docks at the North Ski area.
