State Modified Stay At Home Orders

On May 8, the State of California modified its Stay at Home Orders as we enter into the first phase of “Stage Two”. This means in addition to essential activity, curbside retail is allowed, and as of May 12, offices are also permitted to open again. Falling in line with the State, on May 9, Riverside County also rescinded additional requirements they had placed on residents.

With these new modifications in place, many of the Canyon Lake POA facilities and services are able to reopen under limited hours and recommended guidelines. In order to facilitate these openings, we are preparing our facilities to accommodate these guidelines so that we can do our part in helping to keep our community healthy. We will continue to practice social distancing guidelines at all facilities and we require that members do the same.

Below is the schedule of when facilities and/or services will resume:

Monday, May 18, 2020

  • Canyon Lake POA Offices
    Limited in-person counter service hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our associates are required to have face coverings with them and members visiting the office are recommended to use them as well. Permanent tempered glass transaction windows have been installed at the Member Services counter and directional arrows along with 6’ markers on the floor will assist with social distancing. Anyone visiting our offices will be required to practice social distancing.
  • Happy Camp
    Once again accepting new campers. Social distancing guidelines will apply throughout the campground and beaches.

 

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

  • Country Club Bar & Grill
    Open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. offering a limited take-out menu only. The take out menu will be posted on the Country Club’s website, www.canyonlakecc.com. Upon opening, orders may be placed in person by phone at 951.246.1773. Restaurant staff will be required to have face coverings with them and take-out guests are recommended to do the same.

  • Canyon Lake Lighthouse Restaurant
    Offering a limited take out menu only. The take out menu may will be posted on the Lighthouse website, www.canyonlakelighthouse.com. Upon opening, orders my be placed by phone at 951.246.2720. Restaurant staff will be required to have face coverings with them and take-out guests are recommended to do the same.
  • Pool at the Lodge
    Open for limited use and with guidelines, our regular capacity will be significantly reduced. A reservation system may be put into place. We will continue to practice social distancing guidelines and we require members to do the same. Updates and specific policies will be posted on the Pool page, www.canyonlakepoa.com/pool.

Facilities/Services Open

Below are facilities and/or services that either have remained open or have been reopened. We will continue to practice social distancing guidelines at all facilities and we will require members to do the same.

  • Canyon Lake Golf Course (same household members may now ride in one golf cart together)
  • Eastport Dog Park
  • Gault Field (for family/household practice only)*
  • Lake/Boating*
  • Parks & Beaches (picnic areas and playgrounds are still closed, per State guidelines)*
  • Pickleball Courts
  • Tennis Courts

 

Facilities/Services Closed

Facilities and/or services that remain closed include:

  • Concert Venues
  • In-person Instructional Classes
  • In-person Meetings
  • Canyon Lake POA Board and Committee Meetings are currently being held via Zoom
  • League Sports*
  • Meeting/Event Spaces
  • Picnic Areas
  • Playgrounds
  • Senior Center


We are pleased to open these amenities again, but residents should be advised that if the social distancing guidelines are not followed it may become necessary to close some of these amenities again.

*Per the State’s orders: “Public events and gatherings are still prohibited. It is okay to go outside for a walk, to exercise, and participate in healthy activities as long as you maintain a safe physical distance of six feet and gather only with members of your household.”
