Ballots were mailed out to homeowners on Monday, April 1. Please take the time to complete and return your ballot to this year's Inspector of Elections, HOA Elections of California. The last day it is recommended to return a ballot by mail is Wednesday, May 8. For the ballot box at the Community Patrol office on Bluebird Drive, the last day to deposit ballots is Tuesday, May 14. Members may also return ballots at the Annual Meeting of the Members & Election of Directors on Wednesday, May 15, at 8 a.m. at the Canyon Lake Lodge. To date, 580 ballots have been returned and 1,600 are needed to meet quorum on May 15. If quorum is not met by May 15, an alternate meeting is scheduled — which is an added expense for the Canyon Lake POA.
There are several measures on this year's ballot that can shape the future of the community. Listen to 2024 Board Election candidates Greg Doherty and Bill Van Vleet discuss two measures — Restricting Sales of Common Areas and Board Terms — at the Meet the Candidates Forum.
Members should have received their ballots within 3 to 5 days after they were mailed. If you did not receive your ballot 5 days after Monday, April 1, you can request a new one at www.hoaelections.net/need-a-replacement-ballot. The last day recommended to return a ballot by mail is Wednesday, May 8, so if you haven't received your ballot, please request your replacement ballot!
