POSITION TITLE: Media Generalist
POSITION TYPE: Part Time. The position will require working some evenings and weekends.
PAY RATE: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE
REPORTS TO: Communications Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (Canyon Lake POA) is seeking a talented and innovative Media Generalist to join our Communications team. Under general supervision, the Media Generalist will assist with the Canyon Lake POA’s media communications, public outreach, community promotions, and marketing efforts. This role involves capturing and editing high-quality photography and video content, collaborating with various departments, and staying updated with industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize DSLR cameras to capture and edit high-quality photography and video content of Canyon Lake community amenities, restaurants, community events, and entertainment for use on digital platforms.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite software, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects, to process and edit photography and create video post-production content for social media channels and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule photography and videography for special projects, events, and initiatives.
  • Manage and organize media library assets.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing and communication technologies or platforms.
  • Leverage social media marketing knowledge to enhance content reach and engagement.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in media communications, photography, video, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using DSLR cameras. Experience with DJI drones is a plus.
  • Proficiency in photography, videography, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to create visually appealing content.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and work effectively as a team player.

Work Schedule

Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
