Lake Location Markers

Have you ever noticed the large letter signs that can be seen on the lake at several of the beaches and parks around the community? These letter signs are actually Emergency Locations Markers (ELM's) with latitude and longitude coordinates attached to them. The letters go from A to O, and the locations of each letter were coordinated with the assistance of the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake Fire Station.  

Residents with an emergency on the lake can refer to the letter when they call 9-1-1. However, we still recommend that all boaters have a copy of this map on deck. The map includes physical addresses for each marker which 9-1-1 dispatch may request.
