Budget Workshop

Join us at our Budget Workshop on Tuesday, February 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lodge. At this workshop, members can participate in the Board's review and discussion of the 2025/26 preliminary Budget prepared by staff and the Finance Committee.

Members may attend in person at the Lodge, join the virtual meeting through Zoom at vm.clpoa.net, or watch it live on the Canyon Lake POA Facebook page (@CanyonLakePOA).

Reminder, notices were sent to homeowners in January regarding the new electronic voting process. All homeowners are automatically opted into electronic voting. Those who prefer to receive paper ballots can opt out by returning the provided form by tomorrow, February 14, or by updating their preferences online at hoaelections.net/votepreference.

Community Survey

Complete the community survey for a chance to win a $50 gift card! The winner will be notified on Friday, February 14. Contribute to shaping the future of our community by participating in our community survey. Complete the survey online at www.clpoa.com/survey or fill out the paper survey sent out to your mailbox in late January. This is your opportunity to express your views on our amenities, services, events, and upcoming projects. The Board values your input as it helps make informed decisions that reflect the community's needs and preferences. Surveys are due back by Monday, February 24. You can return paper surveys to drop-off locations at our Canyon Lake POA office, Senior Center, Country Club, and Lodge.

Canyon Lake POA Offices Closed for President's Day

The Canyon Lake POA offices (including Member Services) are closed on Monday, February 17, in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, February 18. 

Access Company Transition Ends Monday, February 17

The transition to our new access management company, GoAccess, officially completes on Monday, February 17. dwellingLIVE will be discontinued from this point forward. As a reminder, please sign up for GoAccess if you have not already done so.

California Boater Card

As of January 1, 2025, the California Boater Card is required for all motorized vessel operators regardless of age. All persons who operate on California waters must have one. The lifetime card fee is only $10. To start your application, follow the steps below.
 
How to Apply
• Take a Boating Safety Exam from a qualified provider (visit californiaboatercard.com/courses for a list of qualified providers)
• Visit boatercard.parks.ca.gov/Application
• Complete application
• Upload proof of boater education
• Make payment

Once the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) has received your application, you will receive a 90-day temporary boater card by email. Your official boater card should arrive by mail within 30 days from the time the application was approved.

JWC Round Robin Pickleball Fundraiser

Break out your paddles for the Round Robin Pickleball Fundraiser hosted by the Canyon Lake Jr. Women's Club on Sunday, February 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Head on down to the Pickleball Courts at Eastport Park for this round-robin poker format tournament. All skill levels are welcome to participate, and players are grouped as beginners or intermediate/advanced. Check-in starts at 12:30 p.m., with the first games beginning at 1 p.m. Raffle tickets are available, and prizes are awarded to the winners in each division. The entry fee is $40 per person. Register online by Sunday, February 16.

Bingo!

Grab your daubers and get ready to shout "Bingo!" on Sunday, February 16, at the Senior Center. The buy-in is $13 for a 10-pack of bingo sheets, and two special games are available for $1 each. There is a Hot Ball opportunity, and buy-in is only $1! Doors open at 12 p.m., and calling starts at 1 p.m. sharp, so get there before the doors close. Everyone 18 or older is welcome!

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, the Lions Club hosts a bingo fundraiser event at the Senior Center.

CERT Training Workshop

Join the Canyon Lake Fire Department for a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Workshop in February! This fantastic opportunity offers residents the chance to learn valuable skills that can help them respond to emergencies and disasters. The free workshop will be held on three different days:

• Friday, February 21, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, February 22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, February 23, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FREE Adult Tennis Clinics

Starting Sunday, March 2, learn the basics of tennis with Canyon Lake's Head Tennis Pro, Bobby Kielty! These FREE beginner adult clinics are Sundays at 10 a.m. Tennis racquets and balls will be provided. Please wear athletic attire and avoid wearing sandals or jeans. These clinics are a great opportunity to learn more about the sport! Reservations are required and can be made by calling 951.760.1813.

Lucky Siren's Casino Night

Are you feeling lucky, Canyon Lake? Bring that luck to Lucky Siren's Casino Night on Saturday, March 8, hosted by the Mermaids of Canyon Lake at 5 p.m. at the Senior Center. Play the night away at poker, black jack, roulette, and craps tables; enjoy a catered buffet and bottomless beverages and spirits; and participate in a silent auction. Wear your best green and gold cocktail attire for a chance to win a prize! Anyone 21 and over is welcome to attend. Hope Lights the Night

Join the Mermaids of Canyon Lake and Michelle's Place for Hope Lights the Night, a luminary event on Sunday, March 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. This event is a free, family-friendly occasion that celebrates life and honors and remembers those who have been impacted by cancer. An RSVP is required to attend.

Holey Shillelagh Scholarship Golf Tournament

Earn yourself a pot of gold at the Holey Shillelagh Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 15! Join the Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club for 18 holes of par 3 and par 4 golf fun, shenanigans, raffles, and silent auction items — including a chance to win a golf cart! All players are welcome at this fundraising event for students in our community. Check-in is at 8 a.m., with a putting contest at 8 a.m. as well. Tee time is promptly at 9 a.m. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, March 7. Non-members are $90 (including green fees and lunch), annual members are $60, and lunch-only participants are $30. Golf cart rentals are available at $15 per person. Sign up today!

City of Canyon Lake 2025 Scholarship Essay Contest

Do you know a high school senior deserving of recognition? The City of Canyon Lake is offering a $1,500 scholarship to one qualified Canyon Lake high school senior. To apply, the student must submit a 500 – 700 word essay answering one of two topics (or write about both) and their resume (including any job and volunteer experience, extracurriculars, etc.) to [email protected] by Thursday, April 10, before 5 p.m. The winner will be recognized at the May 14 City Council Meeting. North Ski Dock Replacement Project

Construction on the replacement of the docks at the North Ski area is underway and is expected to finish at the end of next week, weather permitting.

What You Need to Know:
- The North Ski area is scheduled to remain open during construction.
- Dock access will be affected during the process.

E-Bike Reward Program

The Canyon Lake POA offers a reward program for young electric bicycle riders promoting exemplary riding behavior. This initiative, aimed at residents aged 18 and under, emphasizes safety and community responsibility, focusing on helmet use and situational awareness. With generous support from the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, the City of Canyon Lake, and community members, the program offers rewards for safe riding practices. Community Patrol will issue Safe Riding Vouchers to young riders "caught" exhibiting safety and community responsibility, redeemable at the Canyon Lake POA Member Services offices for a $10 gift card to a local merchant such as Baskin Robins, Starbucks, Panda Express, and the Canyon Lake Market.

When building a house or making any repairs, alterations, or additions to the exterior of your home or property, you must submit your plans to the Canyon Lake POA for the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) to review for approval at their weekly ACC Meeting. The property improvements posted on our ACC Notices page will be reviewed at the ACC Committee Meeting on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
