Member of the Month

The Member of the Month for February is Ronda McCord. Ronda moved to Canyon Lake in late 2020 and immediately immersed herself in the community by joining the Mermaids of Canyon Lake club, four quilting clubs, a book club, and the sewing club at the Senior Center. While there, she became part of the Canyon Lake Patriot Quilters club, a group of 15 women who create beautiful, hand-made patriotic quilts they donate to veterans in the community. Ronda has led the club for the last five years, transforming it from a hobby group donating one to two quilts a year to a passionate project that now makes and donates one quilt per month. Her selfless dedication to creating art for others to bring beauty to their lives makes her an invaluable member to our community.

Confirm Your Voting Preference!

In October 2024, Governor Newsom signed AB 2159, allowing California HOAs and POAs to conduct electronic voting for the first time. Notices were sent to homeowners in January, informing them of their automatic enrollment in electronic voting. Those preferring paper ballots can opt out by returning the enclosed form by February 14.

Electronic voting is a significant advancement that is expected to make it easier for members to vote, for associations to reach quorum, and could help reduce election costs over time.
