Trick-or-Treating Reminders

To ensure everyone has a great time this Halloween, it's a good idea to remember a few precautions for trick-or-treaters. Encourage your trick-or-treaters to avoid costumes that hinder their vision or increase their risk of tripping. Trick-or-treaters should plan a designated route and a return time and always go trick-or-treating with parents or at least two friends. Canyon Lake does not have streetlights, so it will be dark. Trick-or-treaters should carry a flashlight and consider wearing or holding glow sticks to be more visible to drivers. Advise your trick-or-treaters to avoid running across the street or taking shortcuts through backyards. Lastly, trick-or-treaters should always practice stranger danger, never accept rides from strangers, and always avoid entering anyone's home.

Motorist Reminders

Halloween will be a very busy evening in our community with many children and families out and about after dusk. Motorists, please use caution when driving, as there will be many trick-or-treaters on the roads. Drive at a slower pace and take extra caution when backing out of driveways or making turns. Additionally, be sure to stay alert and watch for bikes, e-bikes, scooters, and skateboards on the roads.

Pool Halloween Hours Notice

Please take note that the the pool closes early at 5 p.m. on Halloween day, October 31. Also starting November 1, the pool hours will change. Lap and Exercise Swim will be daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Open Swim will be daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about the pool, visit www.clpoa.com/pool.

Halloween Access Reminders

With Halloween approaching, please remember these important community access reminders the day of the holiday. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our e-pass service, which emails your guests their pass and expedites their entry into the community. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on Halloween, October 31. Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, and ride-share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note that this does not apply to in-home healthcare services. If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

SERVICE REMINDERS

Canyon Lake Camera Program

The Security Advisory Committee, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and City of Canyon Lake have collaborated to create the Canyon Lake Camera Program. This is an opportunity that allows community residents with surveillance systems to voluntarily add themselves to a list that the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Canyon Lake POA may refer to if a criminal incident occurred nearby. By signing up for this program, when these criminal incidents occur, the Canyon Lake POA and/or law enforcement may contact you to help solve the crime by requesting to review the video footage your system may have captured.

This program is for Canyon Lake POA members, and members must log in to the website to sign up. Alternatively, email
[email protected] to sign up. If emailing, please include your name, address, and tract-lot number.
