Parking Lot Seal Coating Project

The parking lots at the Canyon Lake Lodge, the Canyon Lake Country Club, Eastport Park, Diamond Point Park, and Vacation Park will be seal-coated from Monday, October 21, to Friday, October 25. These parking lots were re-asphalted in 2019. Seal coating protects and extends the life of asphalt pavements by applying a protective sealant that helps to prevent oxidation, weather damage, and wear from traffic.

Country Club Closed for
Annual Maintenance

From October 21 to October 30, the Canyon Lake Country Club Bar & Grill will be closed for annual maintenance during the annual overseeding process for the Golf Course. The restaurant will reopen on Thursday, October 31.

Overseeding is the process of planting new grass seeds directly over the existing turf. This process is necessary to help keep the fairways green year-round. In the fall and winter months, we overseed the golf course with perennial ryegrass, which is more favorable to the cooler weather we receive during these months. In the warmer months, the golf course has Bermuda grass, which tolerates the heat well.

Trick-or-Treating Reminders

To ensure everyone has a great time this Halloween, it's a good idea to remember a few precautions for trick-or-treaters. Encourage your trick-or-treaters to avoid costumes that hinder their vision or increase their risk of tripping. Trick-or-treaters should plan a designated route and a return time and always go trick-or-treating with parents or at least two friends. Canyon Lake does not have streetlights, so it will be dark. Trick-or-treaters should carry a flashlight and consider wearing or holding glow sticks to be more visible to drivers. Advise your trick-or-treaters to avoid running across the street or taking shortcuts through backyards. Lastly, trick-or-treaters must practice stranger danger, never accept rides from strangers, and always avoid entering anyone's home.

Motorist Reminders

Halloween is always a busy evening in our community with many children and families out and about after dusk. Motorists should use caution when driving, as there will be many trick-or-treaters on the roads. Please drive at a slower pace and take extra caution when backing out of driveways or making turns. Additionally, be mindful of the presence of bikes, e-bikes, scooters, and skateboards on the roads.

Pool Halloween Reminders

Halloween is right around the corner! Please remember that the pool closes early at 5 p.m. on Halloween day, October 31. Also starting November 1, the pool hours will change. Lap and Exercise Swim will be daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Open Swim will be daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about the pool, visit www.clpoa.com/pool.

Halloween Access Reminders

As Halloween draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this festive season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our e-pass service, which emails your guests their pass and expedites their entry into the community. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on Halloween, October 31. Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, and ride-share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note that this does not apply to in-home healthcare services. If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

Motorcycle Parking at Senior Center

The Senior Center Boutique will utilize the entire Senior Center parking lot on Saturday, November 9, and Sunday, November 10. To ensure smooth traffic flow and parking during the event, we kindly ask that all motorcycles parked outside the designated motorcycle parking spaces be relocated by Friday, November 8. Additional motorcycle parking is available at both the East Gate and North Gate.
