Chayce Beckham Replacing Colt Ford

Unfortunately, Colt Ford has canceled his November 2 concert in Canyon Lake due to health concerns. However, we are excited to announce that Chayce Beckham, the winner of American Idol 2021, will be stepping in to perform. Tickets purchased for Colt Ford's concert will be valid for Chayce Beckham's performance, and no further action is required. If you prefer a refund, please visit here. Chayce Beckham is a rising star in the country music scene, best known for winning the 2021 season of American Idol. Hailing from Apple Valley, California, Chayce captivated audiences with his soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and authentic country style. Tacos & Family Fun Nights

Don't miss our next Tacos & Family Fun Night on Tuesday, July 23! Enjoy food from the Lodge and from Cali Porker BBQ. Beat the summer heat with Kona Ice and drinks from the Sunset Bar and Lounge. Activities include two caricature artists, a body painter, a dunk tank, and two waterslides, as well as a variety of games for kids and cornhole for adults. Swing by the Canyon Lake Bassmasters table, where they will be sharing information about their upcoming Kids Fishing Derby on September 14 and collecting donations for this beloved event. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., join Diana Gallagher for line dancing fun to a medley of boot-stomping songs.

This fun summer event series takes place every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through July 30. Each week features tacos and margaritas available at the Lodge inside the Holiday Bay Room, food and drink specials at the Sunset Lounge and Terrace, and a variety of activities and entertainment outside for everyone to enjoy.

National Parks & Recreation Month
Did you know that July is National Parks & Recreation Month? As part of our celebration, we'll be featuring different parks in our email newsletter each week. This week, we're highlighting our facilities that have sports and fitness amenities.

Baseball
- Gault Field -

Baseball is America's favorite past time and lucky for you Canyon Lake has Gault Field, home to four outdoor ball fields that provide endless enjoyment to players of all ages. Located on over 5 acres, Gault Field features adult, little league, and tee-ball fields. The fields and parking lot are lighted, and there is shaded seating, restrooms, and drinking fountains. The fields are located on the north side of the community off of Longhorn Drive, next to the Equestrian Center.

Basketball Courts
- Eastport Park -

Looking for some awesome basketball action? Come check out the basketball courts at Eastport Park, where you'll find two full-size courts that are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The courts are lighted for night time play.

Cornhole Courts
- Happy Camp, Senior Center, & Roadrunner Park -

Get ready to have amazing fun, cornhole enthusiasts! Canyon Lake is the place to be for some serious cornhole excitement! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time player, we've got three incredible spots for you to showcase your cornhole skills at the Senior Center, Happy Camp, and Roadrunner Park. The cornhole courts are open during regular amenity hours and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Explore the outdoors, stay fit, and have fun at several of Canyon Lake's parks with fitness amenities. Pickleball Courts

There are six pickleball courts located at Eastport Park. Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is a relatively new sport but has grown rapidly in popularity recently. Check out our live pickleball cam to view court availability.

Pool
- Canyon Lake Lodge -

Dive into fitness and fun at Canyon Lake's Junior Olympic-sized pool behind the Lodge! The pool is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., specifically for exercise swim and Aqua Fitness classes. Afterward, the pool has open swim hours, which in the summer are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Swimming engages multiple muscle groups, providing a great full-body workout. The pool is your ultimate destination for staying fit and having a splashing good time!

Pump Track
- Vacation Park -

Calling all thrill-seekers! Pump up the excitement at Canyon Lake's newest amenity, the pump track at Vacation Park on Vacation Drive. The pump track is open during regular park hours and is an excellent place to ride bikes, skateboards, and scooters. Please note that all non-motorized riding devices must have a decal available for free at the Canyon Lake POA office. The pump track is a ride-at-your-own-risk amenity, so obey posted rules to ensure you have the most fantastic adventure!

Tennis Courts
- Canyon Lake Lodge -

Located adjacent to the Canyon Lake Lodge and overlooking the community’s beautiful lake, the Canyon Lake tennis courts are home to a robust tennis program. Featuring six lighted tennis courts, a shaded viewing deck, and an outdoor patio, the tennis courts serve up weekly play, private and group lessons, camps, special events, and more all year long. The tennis courts are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. All members in good standing are welcome to use the tennis courts at their leisure when courts are available.

Summer Kids' Activities

Swim Lessons

Looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer? Sign up for swim lessons at the Canyon Lake POA pool! Two swim sessions will take place each week through August 2. Sessions are $90 for the first week/child, $60 for the second week/second child, and $55 for additional weeks/children. Session 1 is Monday through Friday at 10:15 a.m. Session 2 is Monday through Friday at 11 a.m.

Water Polo Lessons

Want your kid to have a ball this summer? Sign them up for water polo lessons at our amazing pool! Water polo lessons are perfect for children ages 8 to 15 who are ready to learn the ins and outs of this exciting sport. They'll dive in for 1 hour and 15 minutes of pure fun from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday every week through August 2. Kids will learn the basics of the sport, including passing, shooting, and teamwork, all while having a blast in the water. Our experienced instructors will guide your child every step of the way, ensuring that they learn and progress at their own pace. Weeks 1 and 2 of Water Polo are $65 each, with additional weeks at $55 each.

Movie at the Pool

Beat the summer heat at our next Movie at the Pool on Saturday, July 27, at the Canyon Lake Lodge pool! The movie starts approximately at dusk. This month's flick is about an ambitious koala desperate to save his theater. Determined to restore his life's ambition, he produces the world's greatest singing competition featuring five contestants: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla, and a punk-rock porcupine. The Movie at the Pool series takes place once a month through the summer, so don't miss out!

Lions Club Bingo Blowout

Join the Lions Club for their Bingo Blowout on Sunday, July 28, at the Canyon Lake Lodge! This fundraiser event offers special games and pull tabs in addition to everyone's favorite bingo fun with a $20 buy-in. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with calling starting at 1 p.m. Get out of the summer heat and enjoy a hot dog lunch for an additional $10.  E veryone 18 and over is welcome!

Senior Center Potluck & LCR Game

Do you have a favorite savory dish that everyone enjoys? Join the Senior Center Potluck on the last Sunday of this month, July 28, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Senior Center. After dinner, the group plays a fun dice game called LCR (Left, Center, Right), where luck determines the winner. Come and enjoy good food and company!

Canyon Lake Woman's Club Cooking Class

Grab your aprons and head over to the Senior Center on Saturday, August 3, for the Canyon Lake Woman's Club Cooking Class, featuring special guests Martha Culbertson and Rebecca Farnbach, the authors of Flavors of the Temecula Wineries. From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the famed authors will discuss how they accumulated their recipes and wrote the cookbook — and best of all, they will demonstrate how to cook some of the recipes from the book! Reserve your spot for $40 by dropping a check off at 30809 Golden Gate Drive or by paying with Zelle to [email protected]. Spots are limited, so RSVP today!

Summer Splash Cruise

Splash into summer with the Canyon Lake Yacht Club's Summer Splash Cruise on Saturday, August 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Harbor docks! Chill with a cruise around the lake as the sun sets and the cool summer evening air relieves the heat of the day. The boats set sail at 7:15 p.m. from the Holiday Harbor docks. Yacht Club members and guests are welcome at this event, so don't miss it! RSVP at www.CLYCCA.org today. Interested in volunteering for this event? Tennis Area Shade Project

Work continues to move along nicely in the new tennis shade area! Both shade structures are assembled, and the concrete has been poured. Final touches will be completed over the next couple of weeks before opening.
 
For your safety, we kindly ask that you avoid the construction site. While the courts remain accessible, please be aware that lights on courts 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be temporarily unavailable during certain phases of the project. With an anticipated completion this summer, this project represents a significant improvement on one of the last available pieces of our beautiful lakefront property.

Fit Sticks

Burn tons of calories with a moderate intensity workout to fun and upbeat dance music at Fit Sticks. Groove to the rhythm and drum it out with dance sticks to work up a sweat. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Lodge with instructor Amanda Wagoner. Hesitant to commit? Try your first class for free! Classes are $40 for a seven-class punch card. When building a house or making any repairs, alterations, or additions to the exterior of your home or property, you must submit your plans to the Canyon Lake POA for the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) to review for approval at their weekly ACC Meeting. The property improvements posted on our ACC Notices Page will be reviewed at the ACC Committee Meeting on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
