4th of July Service Provider Access

As 4th of July draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this exciting season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our e-pass service, which emails your guests their pass. This will expedite their entry into the community and keep the lines moving expediently. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on 4th of July. Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services.

If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.
Learn More About Guest Access

Lodge Parking

On the 4th of July, access to The Lodge parking lot will be restricted to vehicular traffic starting at 4 p.m. Our patrol team will manage entry, allowing one vehicle in as another leaves. All vehicles, including golf carts, must be parked in designated parking spots. Be aware that parking violations will result in fines, which are doubled during holiday weekends.

Park & Beach Setup Hours

Please be advised that all parks and beaches in the community will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4th. Access is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, as reservations are not available. Community Patrol will be actively enforcing park hours. Entry or leaving personal property before the specified opening time is not allowed. Any property left prior will be removed by the Canyon Lake POA and can be retrieved during normal business hours at Bluebird Hall. Any property not claimed within 30 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of. Please note, the Canyon Lake POA is not liable for the loss or damage of these items.

Watching the show from one of our popular locations, like Sunset Beach or Holiday Harbor? Stick around after the fireworks show to reduce traffic congestion!

Boat Registration Reminders

Unregistered boats are not permitted on the lake. Marine Patrol will be verifying boats for current registration at all launch ramps throughout the July 4th weekend. Unregistered boats are subject to a $500 citation. Those who need to have a safety inspection completed on their boats to register them should call Marine Patrol at 951.244.6841 x415 to schedule an appointment.

POA Offices Closed For 4th of July

In observance of the 4th of July holiday, the Canyon Lake POA Offices are closed on Thursday, July 4. Regular hours will resume Friday, July 5.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Independence Day!

SCE Inspections

As part of the wildfire prevention and mitigation program, Southern California Edison (SCE) will be conducting inspections in Canyon Lake using drones and/or helicopters over the next few weeks. The focus of these operations is to keep our community safe by inspecting electrical equipment on poles and towers and to identify any damage or potential hazard that may need immediate repair.

Tennis Area Shade Project

Both shade structures are assembled, and concrete has been poured. For your safety, we kindly ask that you avoid the construction site. While the courts remain accessible, please be aware that lights on courts 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be temporarily unavailable during certain phases of the project.

Upon completion of the project, two new shade structure pavilions will be unveiled. One pavilion will feature a built-in barbecue at one end, accompanied by six picnic tables beneath the shade canopy, creating an ideal setting for outdoor gatherings. The second pavilion will replace the existing aging structure, offering extended coverage and additional viewing bleachers for tennis matches. Additionally, the project includes the installation of a new ADA ramp, ensuring accessibility for all community members. With an anticipated completion date in early summer, these enhancements will provide improved amenities for residents.

SERVICE REMINDERS

Lake Emergency Markers

Have you ever noticed the large letter signs that can be seen on the lake at several of the beaches and parks around the community? These letter signs are actually Emergency Locations Markers (ELMs) with latitude and longitude coordinates attached to them. The letters go from A to O. Residents who have an emergency on the lake can refer to the letter when they call 9-1-1. The Canyon Lake Fire Department references these letters so they can determine your location and provide assistance quicker. We recommend that all boaters have a copy of the Emergency Location Markers Map, which includes the physical address of each letter in the event that dispatch requests the address.
