Get Active This Summer!

School is out! Get your kids active — and out of the house — with a variety of activities in Canyon Lake to enrich their summer vacation. Summer youth activities are a great way to keep minds active and in the process of learning to make returning to school in the fall an easier transition.

This summer, our amenities offer a number of youth activity options to choose from. At the pool at the Canyon Lake Lodge, beat the heat with water polo lessons that encourage teamwork and coordination or swim lessons that offer a variety of levels to meet your child's skill set. Hit the tennis courts to learn the basics of the sport or refine previously learned skills. Embrace the challenge of learning golf to develop finesse and patience.

See below for more details about these summer fun opportunities!

COMMUNITY UPDATES

Canyon Lake Water Quality Update

The Lake Elsinore & San Jacinto Watersheds Authority (LESJWA) recently conducted an investigation into the water quality of Canyon Lake following the fish die off that occurred in April. Following heavy winter storms, nutrient influx likely triggered the April algal bloom. Coupled with the April application of alum applying a lower dosage of alum than usual, the algal bloom could have led to a drop in dissolved oxygen levels overnight, contributing to the fish mortality.

Water samples were taken from five locations in early May that indicated the lake is safe for recreational activities.
