Weekend of Fun!

Movie Night at the Pool - Friday
It's that time of year again — the hopping weekend that heralds the beginning of summer in Canyon Lake!

Don't miss out on the summer's first Movie at the Pool on Friday, May 24, at the Canyon Lake Lodge pool! At this first movie of the year, we’ll be showing an animated adventure featuring a cheerful sea-dweller and his quirky group of friends as they embark on an epic quest to retrieve a stolen recipe crucial to their underwater community. Combining humor, friendship, and a dash of out-of-water antics, this film delivers a lively and family-friendly escapade. The movie starts approximately at dusk. As a reminder, members may invite up to six guests (per tract/lot) to join them, and adult supervision is required for children under 14.

Kick off the weekend with the Fiesta parade at 9 a.m. featuring nearly 50 community groups and businesses that will be festively decorated and parading down Canyon Lake Drive North. Following the parade, head on over to the Lodge for some food and drinks before the other parks and beaches open for the full shebang!

COMMUNITY UPDATES

4th of July Happy Camp Lottery

Located just a few yards away from where the fireworks are launched, Happy Camp is one of the most popular spots for viewing Canyon Lake's impressive fireworks show. Memorial Day Hours

We hope everyone has a wonderful
Memorial Day!

Memorial Day Weekend Service Provider Access

As Fiesta Hopper draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this exciting season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our e-pass service, which emails your guests their pass. This will expedite their entry into the community and keep the lines moving expediently. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, May 25 – Monday, May 27) or 4th of July. Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services.

If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

General Rules Reminder

As we head into Fiesta Hopper and Memorial Day weekend, we’d like to remind our fishing-enthusiast members to be mindful of our fishing rules. First, please remember that if you have a guest visiting that would like to go fishing, you must accompany them with your CLPOA ID available upon request (GR.4.4c) and only one fishing pole per guest is permitted (GR.4.4f). Second, please remember that fishing is prohibited by land on the Main Causeway, North Causeway (between both parking lot entries) and Treasure Island Causeway (GR.4.4h).  As always, a California Fishing License is required for anyone over the age of 16. Both Community Patrol and Marine Patrol enforce these rules. Fines for violating these rules can be as high as $150.

E-Bike Reward Program

The Canyon Lake POA is excited to introduce a new reward program for young electric bicycle riders promoting exemplary riding behavior. This initiative, aimed at residents aged 18 and under, emphasizes safety and community responsibility, focusing on helmet use and situational awareness. With generous support from the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, the City of Canyon Lake, and community members, the program offers rewards for safe riding practices. Community Patrol will issue Safe Riding Vouchers to young riders "caught" exhibiting safety and community responsibility, redeemable at the Canyon Lake POA Member Services offices for a $10 gift card to a local merchant such as Baskin Robins, Starbucks, Panda Express, and the Canyon Lake Market.

Tennis Area Shade Project

Progress continues at the tennis courts, with the contractor grading, pouring wall footings, and installing the retaining wall block. For your safety, we kindly ask that you avoid the construction site. While the courts remain accessible, please be aware that lights on courts 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be temporarily unavailable during certain phases of the project.

Upon completion of the project, two new shade structure pavilions will be unveiled. One pavilion will feature a built-in barbecue at one end, accompanied by six picnic tables beneath the shade canopy, creating an ideal setting for outdoor gatherings. The second pavilion will replace the existing aging structure, offering extended coverage and additional viewing bleachers for tennis matches. Additionally, the project includes the installation of a new ADA ramp, ensuring accessibility for all community members. With an anticipated completion date in early summer, these enhancements will provide improved amenities for residents.
