Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) is scheduled to begin a sewer replacement project on San Joaquin Drive in Canyon Lake in late March for approximately four months. The new sewer line is necessary to relocate and replace the aging infrastructure, and avoid future leaks and sewer interruptions.
The San Joaquin Drive Sewer Line Project involves:
- Abandoning the existing sewer line
- Installing 290 linear feet of new sewer pipeline
- Constructing 240 feet of sewer laterals
- Adding four sewer manholes
Detours and temporary lane restrictions on San Joaquin Drive will be necessary during construction. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We appreciate residents’ patience with traffic delays and detours along San Joaquin Drive over the next few months as EVMWD makes necessary improvements to Canyon Lake’s sewer system,” said EVMWD Board Director, Nancy Horton.
EVMWD's Construction Hotline is available at 951.893.7116 or firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions about the San Joaquin Drive Sewer Replacement Project. Calls received after normal business hours will be returned between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
